Hello, everyone!
I've gone rogue for a little, and I do apologize! Lots of good stuff has been going on though! Some juicy updates! All, as of a few days ago, I hit my 2 month mark! Crazy how time flies!
First things first, I am training! Bless uppp. About two weeks ago we hit the road and drove all the way down to Dnipr, a 7-hour-ish drive and picked up our new trainees. We had a train-the-trainer meeting as well and it was so inspirational. My trainee, Elder Murray, had been out serving reassigned in Washington for about 5 weeks before coming here. It's been lit! He is still adjusting to the time change. The members caught a funny picture of him sleeping during church (see the picture).
It's been SO fun showing him all the new culture and everything.
He tried to give himself a haircut and this happened:
He and I have been hitting the work-outs as well. Two months till sexy??
My old companion, Elder Illera, left to go serve in Odessa, on an area called Tiereva! That was actually the area I've wanted to serve in my whole mission. So shout out to him! Sumy has got me locked up and doesn't plan to let me go haha.
We have been teaching a bunch of people! Things have been poppin! I don't know if I shared the little miracle we had with our friend we met at ping pong, but we have been teaching her and she is absolutely GOLDEN. Konstantin is doing amazing as well, and baptism is working well with him.
We finally had Zone Conference in person as well this week! It was AMAZING. It was so fun seeing so many missionaries again and hearing each other's teachings in person. This was President and Sister Wirthlin's last Zone Conference, as well, so it was extra special.
We, also, heard news that soon we can open up our branch building for church service! I never thought this day would come! Although there are a lot of restrictions regulating the service, it will be amazing!
And our CO alarm went off at like 4:30 a.m. So we had to get up and leave the house.
Life is good.
Much love,
Elder Wilde
